Obama's people made sure that most (not all) cabinet Secretaries got their deputy secretaries appointed by the administration. What kind of BS is that? So most cabinet secretaries have White House appointees overseeing their every move? What kind of confidence and autonomy is that?
Notable exceptions (probably not a complete list): Gates at Defense, HRC at State, and Napolitano at DHS.
