this law does nada to fix immigration

You are absolutely correct, AND it was NEVER intended to!

States do not, and cannot, establish immigration policy or law.

The statute simply prohibits localities from adopting any policies that allow less than full enforcement of the FEDERAL immigration laws, thus prohibiting so-called sanctuary provisions.

This is no different than the federal laws that prevent states from adopting any policies or enacting any laws that allow environmental regulatory safe havens.

subjects all Latinos to unnecessary police contact

BULLSHIT!

Explain how it subjects ANY specific ethnic group to "unnecessary police contact".

The law states: "For any lawful contact made by a law enforcement official or agency of this state or a county, city, town or other political subdivision of this state....".

Your assertion has no basis in fact, and your emotional hyperbole does not substantiate your argument!
