15. K&R for a real President...My county dem party has an FDR Celebration dinner every year for him...
It was last night. I went, it's the first one I've attended. They said it was the biggest crowd they'd ever had. The restaurant was packed. Here in the rural south, many people still appreciate FDR. He brought us electricity, jobs, roads, and social security for our elderly and disabled, just to name a few things. Our clerk of court gave a barn-burner of a speech, and we celebrated turning Congress and our state legislature Democratic. Our district sent our county's retired sheriff to the state house, and another local Democrat to the state senate. And I heard a rumor about a potential candidate who might go up against that harpy Virginia Foxx in 08 - someone I think could easily beat her. I feel excited about it.

It was a great night. Someone brought a framed print of the same portrait in your OP, and hung it on the wall during the dinner. I kept looking at it, and thinking how angry FDR would be at what these people have done to our country.
