A black box that is connected to the vehicles computer system and records every detail of it's operation. I just found this out because my local municipality just asked for and received $14,000 to buy a computer that will hook up to the black box and get the details on what was happening when an accident occurred. Whether your seat belt was fastened, whether you hit the brakes or not, how fast the vehicle was going, whether your lights were on and operating, etc. etc. $5,000. of that amount was to train two state troopers on how to use the computer and how to find and hook up to the black box. The news said this was to be done on all accidents with fatalities but I am sure it will go further and be used in court cases as well. Is this a form of illegal search?
