if humanity goes extinct it will be for many possible scenarios.

I am not that spiritual nor hold any of that thinking.

As to learning how to handle resources... well the dark side of the magical thinking is precisely what is leading to global warning and other environmental disasters... see dominion over the land and the air is the dark side of magical thinking.

I will repeat this, in the view of some we should have never done any basic research... well I am not of that school.

Oh and we are not the only species that fouls the nest.
