117. IMO, you're way off

There are a hell of a lot of people who make a decent living and don't have to "snuggle up to rich people."

Every company/organization has got all sorts of positions. Yes, you have a top brass and some ass-lickers. But there are lots of honest, hard-working, straightforward people. They don't make millions, but do make enough to get by, and then maybe some. We're talking about the staff accountant, the business analyst, the facilities manager, the shift supervisor, the nurse, the teacher, etc. etc. etc. The workplace is not the black and white scenario that you paint it to be.

Yes, these are tough times and many are suffering, and many have lost their livelihoods. And some people have had it rough for much longer. But tens of millions of Americans are making an honest living, and they are not "dressed in riches" and nothing is gnawing at their souls but your cynicism!

You can live in your cynicism, but I choose not to ding those who have tasted success through honesty and modesty. Life is not fair, and not everyone will get the same opportunities. But for those who have worked hard and honestly, and who have been successful (and possibly even fortunate), they deserve better than cynicism and degradation.

But I guess according to you, all they are doing is supporting the torture machine because they make enough to pay taxes! Classy way to view gainful employment.
