210. Your opinion of the majority... Many of us have a different opinion of what is the majority...
Most of them are not the so called "center" that Fox keeps trying to define those right of center as. The corporate media have a conflict of interest that want the government to serve them rather than the people and they see the right serving them rather than the left. That is why they want to make us feel like we're the minority, when many of us would contend we are not. If a majority of this country want the Iraq war ended, then how is being against the war "far left"?

If he takes the left for granted too long, it will allow the corporate lobbyists to continue to plunder us the way they have been and it will continue to destroy the economy, and then Obama will be voted out when his "voice of change" message is shown to be EMPTY rhetoric, if indeed he keeps trying to appeal to those that are in power of the status quo that have created our problems. And if that happens many of us on the left will have realized by then that either we need to make the primary THE election in 2010, or all go to a newer party or take over the Green Party, etc. instead. Obama is gambling his base, and that is not the best way to stay in power.

Why did Bush win pandering to the EXTREME right? If he did, why can't Obama appeal to those of us who've waited for so long to be heard, and haven't had a chance to see REAL progressive policies put in place that could really make a difference. All of these scare tactics against the "far left" ignore the fact that progressive policies are the only ones that haven't been given an honest try in the midst of all of these right wing and centrist *failures* that this country has endured for so many years.
