I find this "war on Christmas" as this Right wingers claim it to be just stupid.. I am an cristian, but I am not "afraid" that the "horrible liberals" would kill the meaning of cristmas... For the eons before Cristi, it was an celebrating of life, In old time it was an celebration over many days, because the sun was starting to came back, and it was claimed as the celebrating of Christ when the cristian Church, and the roman emperors was coming together more than it have been before.. In 330 when Constantin the Great was been emperor for some time, and had started to sympathize with the Church, the whole thing started to melt together somehow..

I am not sure about how others celebrate Christmas, but where I am living we celebrate the holidays with good food and good company. Usually it is a time where family and friends came together, to be together, and maybe get to know what have happened the last year or so.. Good food is usually there, and we have just an good time togheter... I like the season, not just because the celebrating of a person I am looking up to, but also because I then can be together with my family, and friends who I very seldom are with.. And it is just a bonus with all the great foods too:evilgrin: But I have little problem at Christmas.. I ALWAYS eat to much.. And are sitting there for hours at end after dinner, and just "sinking" the food.. The Aye is often more hungry then the stomage... But I like the season then...

I for one can not understand why people want to make so a fuzz about the Christmas thing. That "liberals" are somewhat killing the meaning of Christmas.. If they was so sure about their own position in life, it would be no meaning to be that angry about the whole thing.. Why is they just not trying to celebrating Christmas the way THEY are feeling for it, and let the rest of the world celebrate Christmas the way THEM are feeling it to be.. It is just stupid to be that angry about how other celebrate the season - or not celebrating the season at all.. Many do that to..

For me Christmas is good food, being with good friends.. And little thinking about a little boy who was born into the world for little over 2000 year ago.. And how the world still are as it was when the little boy was coming into the world.. yes it have been changed over 2000 year, but we face much of the same problems.. And we still are at hard work, to solve the same problems as they had, for more than 2000 year ago...

As i se it, Christmas is peace.. peace to live together with your friends, your family, and maybe even working little harder to be nice to your next. Not just your near and dear. But also for the folks out there who have nothing at all. No food, no shelter, and who are living of others dirt.. We should not just thinking about them in December, but every day every week, every year..

And for the gift thing.. It Suck.. Big time.. For the kids off course, but grown up can save up to their own gifts I would say.. Better to save the money and probely make some food or better thing than to spend every last dime of thing your family and friends probable do not like any way.. Better to eat and to celebrate with good food, and something good to drink;).
