1. It might, but I doubt it.
McCain has been for open borders up till he started running for the republican nomination. He record speaks for itself. Now if a cry for tighter border security does come up, and a cry for more attention to the drug cartels running drug rings in this country, I think that is a good think and Obama can use it just as well as McCain. Remember Bush has been in charge of things, he has not secured the border, and the people know that. They also know McCain has supported Bush all along till last year, so this is not really going to help McCain or hurt Obama.

I seriously think that all americans are tired of the drug wars, and killings, and the crime that is associated with this problem. If Obama jumped in on this before McCain, it could be good for him. A call for getting people who are here illegally into a program to become legal, to check their criminal records, and to weed out those who are committing the violence and deport them is what needs to be done.
