11. Not me. I see him as the only GOPer who can win.
Our fellow Americans do love a tough talker, and his anti-torture and anti-terror stance could have traction.
He is more moderate and sensible than the others on many issues. He could pull some 'minority' votes because he's been tolerant and involved in immigration reform.
He is probably viewed as one of the most anti-Bush Republicans of the past 7 years, which could pull some centerist votes who are sick of Bush, but hesitant to go Dem.
Plus he's been a familiar name for a long time, and I think less likely to fumble the campaign should he get the nomination.
All the GOPers are white males, and I truly fear the American masses when they get in the booth and must pull the lever for a black guy or a female. I can only hope we've come far enough, but we all know that will swing some votes.
Far right voters are going with him, even if this base is not 'invigorated.' The question is how the center votes.
