20. the Swift Boat issue put him in the Dukakis folder
&, sad to say, he'll never get out of it. i thought he'd have been an incredible president.

however, he either:
a. let himself be slimed. i don't buy this.
b. didn't overrule mary beth cahill when she let him be slimed. he should have fired her ass.

the GOP fights dirty because it works. the high road doesn't. campaigns are about these idiotic sidebars, because frankly, people, and americans especially, are total idiots who buy anything that confirms their predjudices.
