Some, yes, but on social issues, primarily, populations stagger from extreme to extreme, pendulum fashion, and produce solutions that have no finesse, being a series of putting out fires with no real plan in place.

The deeper we stagger into the bush delusion, the greater the swing of recovery, assuming we recover at all--pretty problematic for a million or so people in Iraq and several other countries.
