I was listening in to Air America's The Jon Eliot Show last night and he was taking calls on the topic: "What Is More Important, Ending The War or Impeachment?". Most of the calls favored impeachment. Mr. Eliot was understanding but quite firm in his belief that ending the war was more important than impeachment. Here is his response to my e-mail, my e-mail below it makes my position clear but perhaps not clear enough. My salient point is that all actions on all issues are being moderated through the bush administration. With bush gone, the issues, many quite urgent, can be then addressed. With bush in power, those issues can not get addressed so well if at all.

Many thanks for your thoughts and, of course, for listening.

I see it as ending the war first. That stands a better chance of
happening.

Love to see impeachment..of all the bastards...with a war crimes tribunal
to follow...in a neutral country. Don't think the Dems have the stomach for
it.

Impeachment is without a doubt more important and here is why sir:
There are a great many issues facing our nation. There are a great many
folks who want to see those issues addressed. I support that. Sadly each
and every one of those issues, including America's #1 issue ending the
war, are attenuated through the office of the President. In the
meanwhile, the "spider king" keeps building his power. Even now should he
choose to assume his role of dictator, he has the abilities to do so.
Many fear that we won't even get an election. I fear this right along
with them as should you sir. Impeachment may be the only tool WE THE
PEOPLE have left and frankly, I am not convinced that even that tool is
enough to stop those who control President bush.

You and I and much of America now easily see that the bush administration
invaded Iraq in order to profiteer. You can easily see that this gang of
thugs have little to no concern about the citizens of Iraq. Sir: What
makes you think that same gang has any concerns about the American
Citizens? WE THE PEOPLE have ONLY IMPEACHMENT as our weapon.

I know you disagree with me but I think you are WRONG when you say ending
the war is more important than impeachment. This war will not end while
bush is in power, mark my words. WE THE PEOPLE are crying out for our
nation back. Help us member of the media.
