Does The Right Desire a Military Dictatorship?

I have been wondering for a few years if the right wing isn't preparing the country for a military dictatorship. When I was young there was a draft and you went off did your two years, came back and went to work. It wasn't a big deal, it was national service and there were no "support our troops" bumper stickers or little red, white and blue ribbons. You just served your country, end of story. When the Viet Nam war came along and the draftees from all walks of life realized they were being used as cannon fodder for an unwinnable cause they told the folks back home and eventually the war was stopped. Shortly thereafter came the all volunteer military which depended on a certain level of unemployment in the civilian world to entice people to join the military. It also ensured that the sons and daughter of the ones who ran the country and the media would not have to serve their country involuntarily. It's worked out well thus far for them.
Now though I see the military being elevated to some form of reverence beyond reason. The right expects the military to be revered above all else, anything else is treasonous. In the next breath they talk about taking back the country.
This sort of talk concerns me.
