I think the future does hold trials for war crimes for U.S. leaders. The U.S. hegemony is ending, not just because of the rise of China and other developing nations, or because the U.S. has been ravaged by parasitic business practices that have turned all but a few percent of the population into peasants, but because the people of the world have had there fill.
I'm imagining the irony of a Nobel Peace Prize recipient being tried for war crimes.
