That is, in fact, why they are invented. Where you pulled that little quote from, I have no idea.

I do not see the purpose of the iPad. It is no more portable than a typical notebook, yet less functional.
Apple's tendency to require the purchase of additional hardware to make use of standard features *is* a serious turn-off, not just with the iPad but with many of their products.

For some reason, you seem to be offended by such views and have responded to my post with some random crap about ownership rights (as if I ever made the implication that people should not be permitted to choose whatever fancy gadgets they buy next).
