19. Too proprietary
I'll give them credit for combining existing hardware technologies into products that acquire mass acceptance. The iMac gave birth to the all-in-one computer and literally ended usage of the floppy disk. The iPhone made the smartphone concept popular and gave users insight into the benefits of a touch-screen interface. The iPad furthers the touch-screen love and expounds on app/widget/cloud software operation.

However, while I can accept Apple's choice to forgo the FLASH format and I think it has more to do with a refusal to pay for Adobe licensing than battery life, I cannot accept their Apple-only expansion port. Requiring a user to purchase a special connector in order to plug USB peripherals into the iPad is to me, unacceptible.
