A couple days ago I was looking around on Classmates.com when I ran into one of my old Army buddies.

This guy may have been the biggest pervert I have ever met. He was a sergeant in Berlin when I knew him...one fine day we received a new troop for Ron's team. We brought the new guy to Ron and introduced him. Ron looked at the guy and asked one question. I can't put the question here because it's a thread-locker. Let's just say it's not what you'd expect a sergeant in the Army to ask a new soldier. He's still working in the intelligence community as a contractor.

Anyway, I sent an email to this fine young gentleman, who sent me back a one-line reply: "Get your ass in here. We need you bad."

And I thought about it. I do many things well. However, they either don't pay shit, I can't get hired because they stop looking at you when they see you don't have a college diploma, or they involve the military. Therefore, it's time to quit denying the simple fact I am, by training and inclination, a noncommissioned officer first and foremost. And it's time to go back to it.

The job I'm going for is Unmanned Aerial Systems Operator.
