These photos are from 2003, after the arrogant uber-rich cowards began sending their hirelings into Afghanistan and attempting by brute force to turn them into the kind of passive slaves they and the other members of the ruling elite have managed to create here in the US.

The more pictures you view, the better you will understand the magnitude of the crime. For many more images, go to the main page and see what that land was like before Brzezinski decided to turn it into a killing field: http://www.lukepowell.com/

But for the "Quail Fighting" series start here and hit the "next picture" link to continue. Read the captions. http://avalon.unomaha.edu/afghan/afghanistan/cowk/be01.htm

Two examples:

Do you regard them as subhumans? Have you been propagandized to the extent that you want to see their culture destroyed and replaced by something as "enlightened" as the one the corporations and corporatists have created here? Which has caused more murders, has more unjustly imprisoned, caused more deaths around the planet, has more homicides per capita, or initiated more wars of aggression and caused more suffering around the planet? Which is more sustainable? Do you think that to continue killing them does anything at all to help the common people here or there?

Rhetorical questions. But I ask you to take a look at these photos, at the people, and think of them not only as as members of our human family, not mainly as poor and deprived, but as avatars, as people who can teach us something we have yet to learn.

(edit phrasing)
