... there are plenty of deaf people who would have no issue doing the right thing. Heck, even if I had never heard much about health care reform... I doubt defending the interests of the insurance companies would have been the priority item if I were to advocate any course of action.

How much benefit of the doubt does this administration deserve? We can't have it both ways. We can't assume Mr. Obama is the smartest bestest president ever, and then also assume at the same time that he is unaware of the option the majority of American citizens demand in regards of any meaningful health care reform. These two assumptions are mutually exclusive. Period.
