This is a really excellent analysis, but actually, the point that it's "accepted" is her way of saying, "It's not my fault. Society is depraved and makes sex acceptable. If it was like in the good old days, it wouldn't be acceptable and I wouldn't'a done it." THAT is what she's saying, because that's what such people believe, and that's what certain religious and conservative groups want to hear. Society makes sex too acceptable. We've go to get back to see sex as evil and dirty and then they'll stay away from it!

Of course, seeing her talk, I think asking her why/how she ended up preggers is a ridiculous question. Pretty dim candle there. Stupidity counts as much as hormones; she sounds like the sort who would have used precautions even if they weren't allowed by her family, but the idea just never entered into her head. One of those details she didn't want to get into, I guess :eyes:
