I have many of the same memories , listened to Ozzy Maiden and Matallica . Gen X ..We didn't expect to live past 25 or at least didn't prepare for it like others of my generation . Still finding my way somewhat . I was also in San Francisco for the "summer of love" Anniversary . I was able to attend a UC berkeley extension that year and meet Abbie hoffman and others .
Like you I felt separated from my generation , in that I had wished I could have been apart of the 50s/60s cultural revolution . It wasn't until the selection of 2000 that I accepted that I was in the correct time and place .
