Watching the New Year's edition of Meet the Pres encapsulated what's wrong with the dmn media these days.

A bunch of the familiar old pundits -- Doris Goodwin, Willim Safire, John Meacham, Eugene Robinson -- dicussing the year and looking ahead.

Although supposedly it was ideologically "balanced" it was merely the same old Conventional Wisdom coming out of them all.

John meacham refrred to Russ feingold as a "sane Howard Dean." The phrase "hard left" was repeated several times. Bush was p
No progressive voice -- nor a string liberal one -- to challenge any of this. The implication thus was that calling Howard Dean "crazy"is totally appropriate. That Bush is totally pure in his motives. That the war in Iraq may be a positive historic turning point....blah,blah,blah.

It was why politics and much more has become so osified. Nothing outside of a very narrow spectrum of opinion coming out of Beltway Elitists.
