Now what was it Bush was saying about this great economy?

It would appear it may not be so great after all. Unemployment is up - again. Job growth has slowed - again. And both were unexpected by the economists. Hmmm...common sense tells us that an economy fueled by borrowing and buying on credit cannot survive forever in this manner.

On top of that, it would appear housing starts are down, houses for sale are staying on the market longer, and prices are showing signs of dropping in some areas. I'm no expert, but this does not sound like a great economy to me.

And it couldn't be happening at a better time, elections are just 4 months away. With indicators such as these to spin, it will become increasingly difficult to sell the "great economy" to the American people come November elections.

Karma is a bitch, isn't it GOP?
