My father, who was the only member of my immediate family to vote for Bush in '04.

My father, who helped me ruin this past Christmas for everyone by getting into a huge argument with me in which he DEFENDED torture and warrentless wiretaps (my favorite quote: "Imagine you're walking down the street, and you're attacked by four guys, and you have chemical weapons in your pocket. Wouldn't you do everything you can to save yourself?" :puke:)

My father, who told me that when he was "my age" he was young and idealistic, too. (I'm 38).

I've barely been able to speak to him for months (for a variety of reasons, not just political.)

But just now, HE approached ME and started making jokes about Bush!

HE WANTS HIM IMPEACHED!! He thinks he's worse than Nixon!!

OK, it's not a perfect situation. He hasn't really learned anything ("I like Nixon at first, too. And I didn't really like Reagan, but he turned out to be pretty good." :puke:) But the point is, he's made a 180 degree turn on Bush in less than 6 months, and he wanted to talk to his raging liberal son about it!!

And now my related rant: Any Democrat who says that impeachment is off the table is completely out of touch with mainstream America.
