From Raw Story, Democratic senators prepare floor speeches on Condoleezza Rice:

    By John Byrne | RAW STORY Editor

    Senate Democrats are readying sharp attacks on the nomination of Condoleezza Rice, and while their press offices are loath to give away the gems of their speeches on the Senate floor, the sense from offices around the Hill is that Rice will face an array of withering policy attacks.

    Each of the issues they expect to surface in the Senate Tuesday have been recurring themes in Democratic criticisms of the Bush Administration: a troubled policy on Iraq, the use of torture in interrogations and the use of preemptive attacks in foreign policy.

    <snip>

    The current speaking list includes: Senator Byrd, 1 hour; Senator Boxer, 1 hour; Senator Reed, 30 minutes; Senator Durbin, 30 minutes; Senator Kerry, 20 minutes; Senator Levin, 15 minutes; Senator Kennedy, 15 minutes; Senator Lieberman, 10 minutes; Senator Corzine, 10 minutes; Senator Salazar, 10 minutes; Senator Feinstein, 10 minutes; and Senator Biden, 20 minutes (from the time of Senator Lugar).
