1. I cannot but commiserate
The worst garden storm took out the carefully color coordinated annual, matched to daughtermine's wedding colors three days before the wedding. The majority of my relatives are green-thumbers so it was doubly sad. Hail, Hail and more hail (new roof and housepainted by the time we were done).

Salvage what you can, some might come back better than ever. The snapdragons that were broken off bushed out like I've never seen before. Could happen! If not - well, acceptance of Mother Nature goes along with a green thumb.
