1. Cook book not available,
but I've used an old James Beard curry sauce recipe for years. VERY simple, and can be used for every thing! Hope I don't forget anything:

saute cut up onion, celery, garlic (any other aromatic veg too) and apple. Use O Oil or butter or whatever. Bay leaf. Add liquid from can of tomatoes (I use stewed toms, and as necessary I add some of the cut up toms.) Add curry powder to taste (1-3 t.), and salt. Add water if necessary. Stir, etc, and serve with/on whatever, cooked bird (left over chicken/turkey whatever.) I serve with plain yogurt, chutney, raisins, and rice.
