I thought it wasn't bad - not an inspiring story, but the acting was fine, and the sets are definitely better than the old series. If they do any 2 part episodes (each is 45 minutes (with no commercials), so about half the length of the typical old 4 part series), they could get something good going.

I think the 45 minutes has been done with a hope of getting it onto American commercial TV (a long shot, I'd have thought). I also noticed they twice used a Routemaster 'step-on-through-the-open-back' bus - hardly ever seen these days, and definitely looking like a tourist London.
