I'm guessing there were about 250 members of various unions. We were told that we did not have police in place to stop traffic while crossing the street and to stop at lights and that we should remain on the sidewalks. It was really amazing, as once we got started, police were stopping traffic for us anyway, bicycle police and police in cars, and we could tell that they were radioing ahead so it would continue to happen. I love Austin!
