Baltimore Sun Article DEBUNKS & RIDICULES the LEFT & DSM!

In today's "Baltimore Sun Newspaper," in the Perceptive Section (C, pg. 5) is an opinion/commentary by a Los Angeles Times "opinion page editor and editorial page editor, Michael Kinsley entitled "Fuss over Downing Street Memo proves left is alive, but not much else."

One can only imagine the steam within I felt after reading this obvious ultra-right-wing slant bull-crap. I'll quote a few lines from this 5 column opinion (seems like a lot for something considered "not much else..."), but I'm not a professional writer - yet! :eyes:

Kinsley Snips:

"After about the 200th email from a stranger demanding that I cease my personal cover-up of something called the Downing Street Memo, I decided to read it." "It's all over the blogosphere and Air America, the left-wing talk radio network." He continues, "The whole weapons of mass destruction concern was PHONY from the start, and the drama about inspections was just kabuki: going through the motions."

Wow. It took this guy 200 emails from 1 stranger to finally read "it." I sent him 1 email about a week ago w/tons of linked sources. Wondering whom this "1" other soul was that send 200 emails to him? I mean, come on. :puke:

Only 1... I mean, really!?! And what's he talking about?! Or should I dare ask what rock he's been hiding under. He's obviously talking for the ultra-right-wing-nut-bags; arrogant and haughty at best. Read on if you can stomach this. Only regret I can't place everything here (5 columns of hum-drum yawning). :boring:

"Although it is flattering to be thought personally responsible for allowing a PROVEN war (yeah, we can prove we're over there alright) criminal to remain in office, in the end I don't buy the fuss. Nevertheless, I am enjoying it, (THE NERVE) as an encouraging sign of the revival of the left."

I didn't know we died...* This guy seems detached from reality...;) :banghead: But wait. It gets better.

He continues citing that we're (left), "developing a paranoid theory and promoting it to the very edge of national respectability takes a certain amount of idealogical self-confidence. * Is it me or did I just read a hint of condescending flattery *

Obviously this guy's not well-versed with regards to the Downing Street Documents or he would have known who "C" was stating, "recent talks in Washington by the head of British foreign intelligence identified as John-Le Carre-style, (what!?!) simply as "C". C reported Military action was now seen as inevitable. Bush wanted to remove Saddam, through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But intelligence and facts were being fixed about the police... There was little discussion in Washington of the aftermath of after military action." :grr:

Ok, this is my boiling point. Kinseley does not know who "C" is? Even I know this along with the rest of the globe! Note: He uses a lot of commas. I'll add 1 more line from this individual before I loose it totally.

"It takes a critical mass of citizens with extreme views and the time and energy to obsess about them. It takes a promotional infrastructure and the widely shared self-discipline to settle on a storyline, disseminate it and stick to it."

Aa-ha... I quess a "critical mass of citizens" means absolutely nothing to this editor because he just said that a majority of people must be a bunch of extremists with tons of energy to work on something that's got them obsessive... I know the first thing that came to my mind was Right-Wing-Conservative Nut-Bags, but again, maybe it's me as a referral about any of of us with sincere conerns for our county's horrible state of affairs and espcially over the Downing Street Documents as PR folks for some sort of infrastructure and admits it's a widely shared story (line!?!)!

Does he think we got this out of the "Land of Oz!?! There was so much more, but copyright laws won't permit too many quotes from this far-right-leaning opin-man. :spray: He does mention the "left-wing" Los Angeles and New York Times and even goes so far to poke fun, tossing them a "pity-party" referring to Time Magazine as "poorly" of sorts and it was "unfortunate for them (Time Mag.) to speculate on the war because of something to do with a "poor economy."

:wtf: Most ultra-right-wing folks claim our economy is just "fine."

Anyone care to hurl a few lines at Mr. Michael Kinsely? You can bet I'll be canceling my free 26 week subscription as of 6:00 a.m. Monday morning. Free or not, they can shove it where the sun don't shine. I hear their subscription is down. It will be down 1 more by tomorrow.
