LOUISVILLE, Ky. --
The campaign headquarters of U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth has been broken into twice in the last five days.

Each time, the thieves took computers, but left behind cash and other valuable items, The Courier-Journal reported.

Christopher Hartman, a spokesman for the Louisville Democrat's campaign, says the thieves walked away with sensitive campaign information.

Hartman said thieves broke through a locked door into the campaign finance office, but no personal financial information about donors was taken.

Hartman said the campaign has contacted both Louisville police and the FBI about the break-ins.

Yarmuth is opposed in the Nov. 4 election by Republican Anne Northup, whom he defeated in the 2006 election.
