All of Bush's "ownership society" plans are dependent on the notion that families have disposable income, or for that matter, have any INCOME AT ALL.

How are middle-class and working-poor families supposed to invest in health savings accounts when they're living from paycheck-to-paycheck, deciding which bill to pay from month-to-month?

And his plans for Social Security are completely unhinged from reality- by raiding the Trust Fund, Social Security is living hand-to-mouth, too. The money we pay into Social Security today goes to help recipients TODAY. If you privatize Social Security, then what happens to the people who are depending on those funds for the next 2 decades?

It's just another example of the GOP putting up rhetoric to get people to vote against their own best interests.
