Lets break down how Bush betrayed the United States and how that betrayal lead to the deaths of many of our U.S. soldiers in Iraq along with countless civilians.

1. Bush knew Zarquawi was operating from Ansar Al Islams base camp

2. Bush knew Ansar Al Islam was a big bad terrorist camp

3. Bush purported to believe that Al Qaeda was linked to this camp

4. Colin Powell went before the United Nations and pressed the administration claim that Al Qaeda backed terrorists in Iraq (Ansar Al Islam) were linked to Saddam Hussein (false, but it was their assertion).

5. For up to two years prior to that speech in front of the United Nations, our Pentagon tried in vain to get George Bush to agree to a military operation to take out Ansar Al Islam and Zarquawi. Bush refused to give them permission three times. He protected the terrorists from the U.S.!

The reason Bush protected the terrorists, was that if he destroyed them in their stronghold, he knew he would be destroying his already shaky link between Saddam and 9-11 (Al Qaeda).

So what did Bush do? He gave Al Qaeda terrorists a pass. He shielded them from U.S. assaults for up to two years. After 3000 innocents died in the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001, and after Bush was asleep at the wheel on terrorism for nine months,

Bush willfully disregarded the advice of Pentagon military planners and protected the most dangerous terrorist element currently facing the United States from being destroyed. He did this because he had a mission to invade Iraq and pursue NeoCon dreams of a new world order.

As a direct result of those willful and negligent decisions by President Bush, many hundreds of our U.S. service personnel have been killed along with thousands of civilians. By our administrations own reckoning, Zarquawi and his terrorist organization are the leading cause of terrorist acts and killings of U.S. forces in Iraq.

How can any person, irrespective of their political party, justify these actions?

How can this action be perceived as anything but a failure?

Everyone makes mistakes, even world leaders. Why can't Bush supporters acknowdge this mistake?
