Thank you for your very eloquent post. You sum up what many feel around our planet. We are all so overdue for some leadership and inspiration. A hope that this will come to fruition in November,indeed! Having lived in another country gains me valued perspective and reflection. I trust Obama's message is real and it will start to rebuild bridges broken by these last eight years. I still love my oountry and her people (and sometimes, her institutions) and have faith these wonderful citizens will continue to make a differene, connect with eachother and others worldwide.

DU has been a lifeline and my homepage for years, with posts like yours bringing meaning to it all.

I'm a bit homesick this day. I did however just receive my ballot, so, if OK with you, I will vote for US... and my Irish forebearers who too, made it real.
