In my experience Fundies and neocons never hesitate to speak on behalf of their side no matter what the occasion including weddings and funerals. Being "nice" doesn't cut it anymore. We have to speak up, especially when confronted.

The OP didn't start the conversation, disengaged at the right point, and didn't get into a shouting match with the boor, so I think OP's actions were just fine.

(except perhaps saying "fucking mailman" lol)

On edit to cboy: I stand by my statement regardless of whether or not the boor was the father of the groom. He had no right to butt into OP's conversation and he got what he deserved.

And no, I am not retarded, either socially or any other way. There is nothing wrong with me. Is there something wrong with you? Because I am just fine, thank you. (no offense)
