I'm sure it won't end up costing him the election, but it was a monumentally idiotic thing for him to do. It's no coincidence that his leads have started to fizzle out in the polls conducted during the height of the FISA debacle of a few days ago.

People on DU were telling me that it was a "brilliant strategic maneuver." Brilliant strategic maneuver my ass.
