The Clinton camp knows full well she'd capture more than her measly little primary share of African American votes in the general, and they know full well Obama will capture more than his primary share of white voters in the general electorate. They KNOW THIS. If they really believed the race-based electoral argument, they'd have to admit that Clinton would get crushed by McCain in November. Yet, somehow, she polls ahead of McCain--and so does Obama (most recently up 4 vs. McCain). Are all those white voters supporting Obama in those polls confused about his race? Did the pollsters only ask African Americans who they were voting for?

If you hold the Clinton Camp to their own ridiculous argument, it'd mean she'd get crushed by McCain, so hold them to their own ridiculous argument.
