10. What Obama has helped us remember is that we are all ONE nation
Like you, I had so many other experiences. I could write 20 pages or more--yes, so many young people excited about the political process and proud to be Democrats and to be LIBERAL! People who were not registered but who were getting people to take them to the local library or DMV to register right then so they could vote in November. People honking and waving as I walked from house to house canvassing in the brief downpour holding my clipboard with the large VOTE TODAY sign facing the highway. The youngsters of volunteers pitching in while they waited for their parents. People who for the first time in years believe that they matter in the political process and will demand that their votes be counted and count.

I attended the kick-off of Mark warner's campaign for senator from Virginia on Monday and drove an 86-year-old friend to the event. The friend is a Hillary supporter and on the way into Norfolk for the event, my friend said that she had heard that if Hillary got the nomination and not Obama, that the Blacks in the country would riot and burn down towns.

This is an educated and well-read as well as skeptical woman. I turned and face her face to face and asked her if in her heart of hearts she didn't realize that what she had said was the same type of Republican propaganda and misinformation that we all claim that we are just plain tired of hearing. She thought a minute and then said that she agreed.

However, I do believe that people of all stripes will not take another stolen election lying down and that cities will burn if the Republican try it again in 2008. We will not have a race war but a revolution where the heads of those who have stolen our country will figuratively roll. This is not 200 or 2004 or even 2006 and the Republicans clothed in Democratic skins should also be wary!
