It's not far from where I fear they want to take us...basically a continental-sized version of the South after the Civil War and before the civil rights movement. Low tax, lower wages, no social services, and no middle class.

And, most importantly for the Republicans, a pro-business judiciary, the right to NOT organize, cheap resources (labor and natural), and an unfettered market where the obscenely rich get even richer and everyone else fights for their scraps.
