I'm not a Nader fan but the man was working his butt off for issues close to Democratic hearts, way back in the 60's. Clark wouldn't even admit publicly to being a Dem---why not?---until late last year.

Without Nader's example of what a thankless task it is to be an independent, people like General Clark would have to learn the hard way.

ed: Horrendous gall? Is that anything like perfidious albion?
