It isn't a question of taking it personally. It is a question of inclusion.
It is a question of embracing people who stuck with a Democratic candidate even if you didn't like them.
It is a question of respecting the work they did even if it wasn't for your candidate.
It is a question of appreciating that at a time when other candidates were NOT returning calls of people who wanted to begin working on taking back the White House, Dean did.
Again, he was NOT my preferred choice, but to say you are glad he lost is to say that you are glad people who might be in the trenches with you got wounded.
I wouldn't want to say that to anyone who might be in the trenches with me.
