21. Both are extremely important to this campaign.
Dennis Kucinich
Dennis keeps directing the focus toward the kinds of systemic change we need to implement if democracy is going to survive in our country. We all KNOW the system is badly broken. He does a FAR better job than anyone of pulling attention to the creative things that can and should be done to fix it, affecting every issue area. Without the real work in Congress he has already done and the detailed plans he has laid out, the national dialog would be shallow, empty of real substance, full of superficial nice-sounding rhetoric.

The substantive dialog around Dennis IS taking place, however. It is just not in the NY Times or on your TV set (because it is forbidden).

He is easily the most intelligent candidate in the race. He has demonstrated real leadership in Congress on the most critical issues faced by Congress during this administration: •opposing PATRIOT Act and •opposing the Iraq War Resolution. On both votes it was he who built a coalition of Congressmen/women in opposition while there was almost NO evidence of opposition organizing on either issue in the Senate.

(It is on the "Nay List" of courageous minority votes like this that we voters can find the people that we must continue to reelect to Congress regardless of what other candidates say and regardless of political party.)

Believe me. The ruling oligarchy takes him seriously and have done all they can to prevent the people from learning about his ideas and accomplishments.

Al Sharpton
Al is a master of the one-line zinger. In a few selected words delivered in just the right way, he calls attention to hypocracy and also reminds us of our Racist history, past and present.

In different ways both men act as the conscience of America, reminding us of how we can do better.
