We need a true leader in the White House, a man with integrity, intelligence and vision - not a career politician beholden to special interests rather than to the citizens of our nation.

In three years, George Bush has alienated our allies, turned a surplus into the largest deficit in our history and misled us into an ongoing guerrilla war with more than 500 U.S. dead, thousands wounded and no end in sight.

We desperately need a leader who can clean up this mess and restore America to the people. Gen. Wesley Clark can pull us out of this crisis. Clark honorably served in combat, winning the Silver Star for bravery and a Purple Heart for being injured in battle. As a career military officer, Clark knows our enemy and what it will take to win this war.

Wes Clark will restore our relationships with our allies and bring real diplomacy and leadership back to the White House.

I urge Arizonans to vote for the one man who can beat George Bush this November, Wes Clark. - Richard Clewis, Tempe
