We are being asked to live under an outdated form of government and it is time to consider making some changes. To that point let me state what I think needs to change.

We need to redraw the states, there does not need to be 50 states.

Inside the states we do not need half the county governments.

We need to do away with every state gets 2 Senators, Senators need to be apportioned based on population

The congressional or political districts need to be redraw and rectangular containing a specified number of people.

We need to go to a parliamentary form of government, where the government must maintain confidence to continue to govern.

We need to go to a divided bureaucracy.. Generalist and specialist…with the generalist being rotated at specified times throughout the government.

We need to go to 3 day voting and paper ballots, with two of the days being a weekend day.

We need to have the election period not exceeding three weeks.

We need to outlaw sound bite political advertising, and criminalize attack ads and lying in political ads

All political offices within the subdivisions of the state would be filled according to a lottery similar to jury duty.

We need to require public service duty for all citizens, no exemptions

Guns are allowed, required for all citizens in organized military duty, you want a gun join the army.

Oh yes, this first past the pole elections should be replaced with proportional representation…..based on the number of votes each party receives.

Ten year appointment of all judges, not lifetime. A decade is long enough.

That is my list…
