Zogby state polls: Not too bad
Advertisements [?]
Colorado Kerry up 50-46
Minnesota Kerry up 47-44
Ohio Kerry up 46-45
Pennsylvania Kerry up 49-46
Wisconsin Kerry up 50-46 (and a big rally here in Mad city tomorrow)

Florida Bush up 48-46
New Mexico Bush up 47-44
Nevada Bush up 51-44

Michigan is tied 47-47
Iowa is tied 45-45

Some thoughts:
1) I'm not worried about Michigan, in the end Kerry will pull it out.
2) With the exception of Nevada (which is perplexing) Bush after four years has not closed the deal with the American people. Everyone is talking about Kerry closing the deal--but what about Bush? Again, with the exception of Nevada in these battleground polls, Bush is stuck between 44-47 percent--that is pathetic for a sitting president.
3) If Zogby is correct, Colorado is proving to be a pleasant surprise in these closing days. With ten electoral votes it would more than make up for the possible (and I emphasize possible, becuz I think Kerry will still win it) loss of New Mexico.
4) Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota are looking better. I hope this four point edge in Wi holds--Feingold has a big lead in the senate race according to Zog, and Feingold's presence will mean a big turnout among the dem rank and file. There is another poll which gives Bush a three point edge in Minnesota with Nader at 5%!! it won't happen. Nader will not get anywhere near what he got in 2000 in any state. This election is just too crucial and enough people who voted Nader in 2000 are ready to vote Kerry if for no other reason than to get rid of Bush.
