How important is a Democratic Senate ?

IF Bush somehow wins or steals another election, no one knows what will happen in the next four years. Four more huge taxcuts? Two trillion dollars more in debt? One or two more wars? No one knows.

But it would be somewhat of an insurance policy against tyranny and dictatorship if we had one of the branches of Congress. The Democratic Party has never been a party of the Presidency. It is about Congress and the representatives of the people. Should we focus more on winning the Senate in these last 6 weeks?
