and a fantastic senator. And even if she doesn't win she will no doubt be the greatest president we never had. I consider myself better off for having associated myself with her campaign. I am still praying for a Denver miracle, but even if it doesn't happen history will surely vindicate her. As Cheryl Mills once said: "it's those facts...those stubborn facts." It helps to have them on your side, at least in the long run. They will easily outlast David Axelrod.

And an additional thumbs up to President Clinton, who is easily the best president of the last 40 years. And God bless Chelsea, too.

The Clintons have done so much for this party and this country. And I reject any patronizing, self-serving comments about how "they threw it all away," or "it's ashame their legacy will be mixed with this disgraceful campaign." That's just talking points by those who want to deliver a certain degrading message about our fine former president and first lady. I don't consider their legacy to be the least bit tarnished and I don't see any evidence that she is in any danger of losing re-election in NY in 2012. I also can't begin to imagine Obama winning the GE without some serious help from her--this "new coalition" just doesn't exist, at least not to the same extent that some would like.

Let me conclude this 1000th post by declaring--without apology--that I will be a Clinton-Gore Democrat forever. And of the three, Hillary is the best IMO. She is everything this country needs in a president and if she can't pull it off then I have no doubt that she will make a great Senate Majority leader (sorry Obama people, but she is still very popular in the Senate) or perhaps a tremendous Secretary of State in the O'Malley Administration some day.

Steve
