Just a bit of harmless friendly advice....

people need a bit of time. Some breathing room. I know if Obama had lost the nomination, I wouldn't immediately be holding hands and singing songs with Clinton supporters (though I've seen a few tonight who were able to and I was in awe of that). Most people just need to sort of re-group, get away from things for a few days, you know?

The day after the election of 2004, a neighbor guy who had been relentlessly ugly in his support of Bush and against my support of Kerry came over ringing my doorbell, grinning like a Cheshire cat, and wanting to shake hands and be friends again. Hey everything's cool, let's be friends! Oh SURE, HE was happy, of course.

And while I did shake his hand (my mother didn't raise me to be rude), it wasn't sincere. I was still angry, hurt. I didn't want to be his freaking FRIEND, he was an IDIOT and voted for that MOTHERFUCKER. I had a lot of anger, LOL.

I shut him out of my life, along with a few other Bush supporters for a while. But time helped.

That's all I'm saying. Goodnight DU. It's been surreal.
