and the world narrative, is both childish and offensive. It's magical thinking on every level.

Al Gore had every opportunity to run if he so wished. He chose not to enter the fray. By dint of that fact alone, he doesn't deserve the nomination. Whatever you feel about Clinton or Obama, they were willing to battle for what they believe.

Unlike most DUers, I'm not into the true cult of personality around here: Al Gore. I like Gore OK, but I sure as hell don't see him as a savior, and he's got a lot of mistakes under his belt too.

It won't happen, but if it did, I'd sit out the election to protest such a profoundly undemocratic move. And I'm not the only one.

Al Gore doesn't deserve the nomination. In fact, he deserves it less than those who ran and withdrew.
